Welcome to Ranchers Ride - Celebrating 25 years
The Rancher's Ride is an annual trail ride that assembles for one exciting weekend in April, amidst the beauty of central Texas. Members and their invited guests leave city-life behind and celebrate their Texas heritage in true Western tradition - on horseback.
Days are spent riding through the scenic Texas countryside while nights are reserved for dining, dancing and sharing good laughs and conversation under the Texas sky. The members of Rancher's Ride believe strongly in giving back to the community: their clear, focused goal for this annual country retreat is to provide for the special needs of children through some of Texas' worthiest non-profit organizations.
The first Rancher's Ride was held in 1987 in Boerne, Texas. It began as a simple weekend trail ride comprised of people who shared a love of horses and the outdoors. The ride was such a wonderful experience, they decided to make it an annual event.
"Having a good time for a good cause" is how one of our members describes Rancher's Ride. What started as a recreational trail ride has grown into a weekend of giving, including horseback riding and dinner and dancing, featuring auctions and raffles for their charities.
Since 1997, Rancher's Ride has contributed more than $500,000 to numerous non-profit organizations in Texas. Please join us in our efforts to continue supporting these worthy charities by joining us on next years ride, our 25th year, April 14-17, 2011 at Welcome Hall, Welcome, Texas. We look forward to seeing you there.
Invitations to the 2011 Rancher's Ride will be mailed in January. First Year Guest Applications and Ride Fees are due for New Riders on March 14, 2011. Ride Fees are due for Rancher's Ride Members and Second Year Riders on March 1, 2011. After March 1, 2011 there will be a $100 late fee for active members. Party Guest fees are due April 2, 2011. No money will be accepted or refunded after April 1, 2011.
